Picking in the truffle plantation

The beginning of the italian artificial truffle plantation is very variable,has been and still depends on various factors.

However,based on more recent experience,we can declare the following:

First picking(years)

-Precious black truffle 6-8 years

-Summer truffle 6-8 years

-Uncinato truffle 8-9 years

-Bianchetto truffle 5-7 years

-Precious white truffle 12-15 years

Full picking(years)

-Precious black truffle 12-15 years

-Summer truffle 12-15 years

-Uncinato truffle 12-15 years

-Bianchetto truffle 10-12 years

-Precious white truffle ???

To better appreciate the truffles we advise picking in full season when the truffles are fully ripe and have their best scent and organoleptic characteristics.
